"Jailhouse Rock" - Elvis Presley Lyrics

"JAILHOUSE ROCK"
  Elvis Presley Lyrics
(Mike Stoller, Jerry Leiber)
(Wm. Tarnstrom, Peter Moller)
AZLyrics.com

"The warden threw a party in the county jail.
The prison band was there and they began to wail.
The band was jumpin' and the joint began to swing.

Let's rock, everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock.

Spider Murphy played the tenor saxophone
Little Joe was blowin' on the slide trombone.
The drummer boy from Illinois went crash, boom, bang,
The whole rhythm section was the Purple Gang.

Let's rock, everybody, let's rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock.

Number forty-seven said to number three:
"You're the cutest jailbird I ever did see.
I sure would be delighted with your company,
Come on and do the Jailhouse Rock with me."

Let's rock, everybody, let's rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock.

The sad sack was a sittin' on a block of stone
Way over in the corner weepin' all alone.
The warden said, Hey, buddy, don't you be no square.
If you can't find a partner use a wooden chair.

Let's rock, everybody, let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock.

Shifty Henry said to Bugs, For Heaven's sake,
No one's   lookin', now our chance to make a break."
Bugsy turned to Shifty and he said, Nix nix,
I wanna stick around a while and get my kicks."

Let's rock, everybody, let's rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the jailhouse Rock.
Dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock......

"High Crimes and Misdemeanors"

"American History a Survey",  Published - 1961;  Current, Williams, Freidel

page 182

"While the case of Marbury v. Madison was still pending, President Jefferson prepared for a renewed assault upon that Federalist stronghold, the judiciary.  If he could not remove the most obnoxious of the judges directly, perhaps he could do so indirectly through the process of impeachment.  According to the Constitution, the House of Representatives was empowered to bring impeachment charges against any civil officer for "high crimes and misdemeanors, " and the Senate sitting as a court was authorized to try the officer on the charges.  Jefferson sent evidence to  the House to show that one of the district judges, John Pickering, of New Hampshire, was unfit for his position.  The House accordingly impeached him, and the Senate, despite his obvious insanity, found him guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.  He was impeached."

You can fool all of the  people part of the time;

Rachel Maddow,

Occasionally  the black dog of depression visits everyone.  Being  that you are extremely

gifted  -   that means your have a  much greater perception than the "average"  television host.

As Monk would say,  " It's a gift and a curse."

Consider your talent to be greatly appreciated  by  everyone that I would like to know better.

"These are the best of times and the worst of times".

Sorting out the insanity.  Done well.....by you.

My Mother was born in  1916.  When I asked what her secret of coping skills were,

She said, " I keep everything in compartments."

Regarding the last war, Mother said," I think I will sit this one out."

Mobile Bay". )
