Closing the barn doors after the horse is out....

Is like checking a candidate's financial  history after he has been elected.

Corruption could cost him the job and possible  freedom.

(jail time).

Brilliant responsible people will correct this problem.

The crazy/corrupt  elected could fane illness and resign or just resign.
